We’ve featured dozens of examples of lighting-related repurposing, but vintage wallpaper upcycled into new lampshades? I think this is a first.

You can pretty much reuse, recycle, upcycle anything! You just need a lil creativity and you’ll be surprised with what you can come up with!

Actually, we have some dinged & damaged forks and spoons that we keep even though I don’t like using them. Maybe this will serve as inspiration.

this would be cute to hang oven mitts in the kitchen!

We’ve posted plenty of items involving reused belts, but this project is noteworthy because it involves just two belts (and some wood and nails, etc.), to make a shelf. The writer uses belts she bought at thrift stores, but it would obviously work just as well with belts in your closet that you’ve long since stopped wearing:

What I love most about this project is that it is extremely unfussy: a mix of belts looks great; the more worn the wood, the better; and the whole structure is very easy to size up or down, customize (painted shelves, new or colored leather, etc.) and adjust as needed. The only difficulty is that it starts to get a bit heavy if you use thick wood as I did, so I recommend getting a helping hand for the installation, especially if you size the project up to a larger shelving unit.

Chilean agency Mayo Draft FCB made great use of pre-roll ad space with their recent ad campaign for Homecenter Sodimacs on YouTube. Instead of inviting viewers to ‘skip the ad’ after the mandatory 5 second viewing time, viewers were also presented with the option to ‘skip the behavior.’
The ads started by saying, ‘In five seconds, your behavior could change an everyday bad habit.’ The screen would then change to images of common household habits that are bad for the environment, like: ‘With that light bulb that stayed on all day you could have washed three full loads of laundry. If you want to change the habit, the first change begins at home.’
Viewers were then prompted to ‘skip the ad’ or ‘skip the behavior.’
